PROGRAM: Search On
Search On is an original documentary series telling stories of people around the world using Google technology to solve big problems, answer hard questions, and take action. Published on about.google, all of our editorial content from 2017-2021 received millions of organic views and had a huge uplift to the brand love metric.
As the lead Digital Producer, I helmed story development teams of researchers, writers, art directors, and visual designers, paired with a development team to build each of our interactive editorials. Alongside my role in production, I also helped shape our operational process both amongst the story teams and our stakeholders, and was able to influence our broader publishing program as the years went on. I developed and managed the editorial pipeline, calendar, and publishing process, helping to scale teams and publish quality content efficiently.
All of our stories were launched in 32+ languages and locales to serve our global audience and we often explored more meaningful story collaborations with local markets in addition to helping their teams build up their own editorial pipelines.
Like many things, priorities changed at Brand Studio over the years with changing leadership, and ownership of the about.google platform was transitioned to another org. The Search On stories are no longer live on the platform.
